STOP!

Before you take the Pirate Oath, do you have a Pirate Name? Get one now before it’s too late!

“THE PIRATE OATH”

Arr, ye scallywags and landlubbers, gather ’round as we swear the Pirate Oath of the Silly Seas. Repeat after me:

I, [pirate name], in the spirit of the whimsical winds and the laughter-filled waves, do solemnly pledge to be a jolly pirate, not of the fearsome sort, but of the merry and comical kind.

I promise to wear me eye patch with a wink, me hook hand with a thumbs-up, and me peg leg with a jaunty dance. In the name of parrots, rubber chickens, and talking skulls, I swear to embrace the art of silliness on the high seas.

I shall greet me fellow pirates with a hearty ‘Yo-ho-ho!’ and engage in sword fights where the only wounds be to the pride. I shall never harm a hair on the head of a sea creature, unless it be a ticklish sea monster, in which case, I’ll offer a tickle instead.

I declare to master the fine arts of pirate puns and jests, to navigate with a map that may or may not lead to a treasure chest of rubber duckies. I shall celebrate International Talk Like a Pirate Day with unbridled enthusiasm and teach the ways of the silly pirate code to all who cross me path.

In the spirit of fun and merriment, with this Pirate Oath, I pledge to be a pirate of joy, a swashbuckler of silliness, and a master of mirth on the silliest seas.

So say we all, with a hearty ‘Arrrrrr!’ and a chuckle on the side!
